INFLATABLE BOATS - a Great Source of Joy and Fun
It is true that inflatable boats are second to none. There are damn rugged and secured.
The fact that they are practically unsinkable can only leave you with one line of thought. Joy, fun and freedom.
Great pleasure is one of the many things you certainly will enjoy with your modern special boat. Many boat owners are now turning to inflatable boats for their fishing and water sports as a replacement for their wooden and metal boats. No wonder these boats are becoming more popular year after year.
Today there are so many manufacturers, new models, and new exotic designs in the market that you now have a great deal of choice. Gone are the days when inflatable boats were just a little dinghy on the back of a large pleasure yacht. Some now range up to 45 feet or 14 meters in length. Many even flaunt a variety of standard and optional components such as cabins. The original floors of soft-bottom are giving way to a rigid hull of hard fiberglass or aluminum. They have rapidly evolved. They are tough, exceptionally built to withstand adverse conditions.
Security: This is one particular area where inflatable boats have gotten an edge over the traditional ones. They are now noted to be the safest boats in the world. As a result of their large buoyancy tube that ensures a low center of gravity, it is practically impossible for it to capsize.
These buoyancy tubes are individually sealed away from one another by conical bulkheads. Air reserves in the tubes are so large that the boat would remain stable and unsinkable even when one of its chambers gets deflated.
This reassuring stability has sparked great interest in divers and fishermen as they can easily from the water fling themselves into their boats. It is interesting to note that because of their safety reputation, they have become essentially the standard for military, coast guard personnel and other rescue agencies worldwide.
Portability: In choosing the size of an inflatable boat, note that the size would directly affect its performance. A larger one is more comfortable and stable. However, they come in varying ranges that offer a variety of models. This ensures you can easily find a choice that fits your need.
A tender could be as light as 30 Kilograms (Kg) or 66 Pounds (Pds). And 2 or 3 people can easily carry an inflatable boat that is between 30 Kg or 66 Pds to 100 Kg or 220 Pds. While those between 100 Kg or 220 Pds to 150 Kg or 330 Pds would require a launching wheel, any one over 150 Kg or 330 Pds would require a trailer. Anyway, since they are 3 times lighter than similar traditional ones, towing and launching presents no serious problem. It is heartening to note that no bulky trailer is needed to transport inflatable boats to the nearest boat ramp which are always crowded on weekends.
Being particularly light, it is so easy to put them into the water and pull them up onto the beach. You can easily pack it around as you move from one lake to another, or out in the woods to that hidden pond stocked with fish. This is so much fun.
The fact that it can be deflated and folded after use has made its storage potential remarkable. It can be kept in the car trunk or in the corner of your garage. Easily, it can even find a place on a shelf!
Economy: If your goal is to find an economical way of getting out on the water, inflatable boats are just perfect.
It is very inexpensive to purchase an inflatable boat compared to a similar traditional one. Its use and maintenance is simple and straight forward. You don't necessarily have to pay mooring charges. They are so portable that you can take them to places of your choice conveniently.
And the most interesting thing you would love to hear is that resale of an old inflatable boat is not only easy, but it makes for a good residual value.
